The process is simple. We charge $5 per record. That includes:

• Preliminary cleaning with a microgroove cloth

• Ultrasonic cleaning in a bath of distilled water and surfactant

• Immediate drying with a microgroove cloth

• Re-sleeving the record(s)

• We call you as soon as the job is done

How Does Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Work?

Ultrasonic cleaning uses amazing technology. Your records are placed on a secure, rotating spindle, and our ultrasonic cleaner creates high-frequency sound waves — called ultrasonic cavitation — that in turn make microscopic bubbles in a warm bath. The tiny bubbles lift dirt and dust from the grooves of the record. The ultrasonic cleaner removes grime that would otherwise not be accessible to a goat’s hair brush or a microgroove cloth.

Ultrasonic cleaning is a safe and effective way to clean records. This process will not repair scratches or scuffs, but ultrasonic cleaning can improve the listening experience by increasing clarity, making quiet parts quieter, and shining the surface of the record.
